16. Aug 22, 2013. #1. In the process of buying the Busy Bee Craftex CX601 milling machine. It's got a 33"x 8.2" table, a 1.5 hp DC motor with a spindle stroke of 2.7". Collet size is R8. It's also 110 volts but I have to go with that due to my "electrical access" limitations. It's not considered to be a mini-mill.

May 17, 2021. #1. I am looking to add a milling vice To my new milling machine. I was looking at the Craftex 4 inch milling vase on sale for 135 or the 5 inch for 145. If I went with the 5 inch I would take it off the rotating base and bolted directly to the table. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these devices.

The machine was built in 2008 and sold by Busy Bee in Canada. They labelled it "B1977" but in the manual [1], it is shown as "MD-30B". I guess this means it is a copy of the Rong Fu RF-30. It came with a BT-3 digital readout from Shooting Star Technology and an AL-25 power feed by Align.

It was also insanely hot but thankfully the rain came long after the machine was safely in my garage. It is a Craftex B1977 (September 2008) with 28.7" by 8.3" table. "1-1/2" HP motor drawing 12 amps at 240 volts. I think I get 240V power to the garage temporarily by running an extension cord from the laundry room.
