The Wilton is the noisiest of the three and not quite as smooth as the Bader or KMG. The KMG is the stoutest made of the three. - Belt speed. On all three of these grinders, the motor is the drive wheel. Regardless if grinding with a flat platen or a contact wheel, the maximum belt speeds are the same. Not so with the Burr King or Hard Core.

The KMG seems to be a very popular choice, and its not too expensive seeming (around 2k for a 10/8 inch wheel and a platen, cant tell if it has an extra tool arm with that though). The esteem can turn horizontal, but im wondering if ill actually need that too much (or if i can mod the KMG/pheer to be horizontal).

It does look like a good grinder but I can get the pheer with a 1.5 hp motor, variable speed, platen, 14" wheel, tool rest and small wheel attachment and wheel for 2000. That's 1500 cheaper than the tw-90, and it includes the small wheel.
