While 60deg cutters are common, that geometry for actual machine way sliding dovetails is less so. For instance, the dovetails on BP turret mills is usually 50deg. 55deg appears on some other mills. If the forces on the slides tend to push the flat "bottom" way surfaces together, such as on a lathe compound or cross slide, 60 may be ok.
